Anakan GmbH is a specialized game localization company located in Berlin, Germany. As of today, we have localized more than 1,500 products for many of the world’s best-known video games companies. Our full-service business is based on two key principles — commitment to customer satisfaction and a genuine love of gaming.

Our services include:
– Translation: coordination, in-game text, manuals, scripts
– Testing: localization testing, functionality testing, compliance testing
– Audio: pre-/post-production, multilingual voiceovers
– DTP: text-flow, layout, font management
– Creative media: including demos, trailers and advertising materials

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our translation department.
He/she will be responsible for all aspects of recruiting freelance translators: tracking open positions, publicizing positions, screening candidates, selecting applicants, sending language tests and setting up a price list.
This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
– Screening CVs/applications to shortlist before sending suitable candidates a language test
– Selecting suitably qualified applicants for open vacancies
– Ensuring that all applicants, successful and unsuccessful, are kept up-to-date on the status of their application
– Drafting job descriptions and specifications, and producing job advertisements for open vacancies
– Managing vacancies online, posting adverts on various recruitment sites and keeping the job page of the company website up-to-date
– Collating and producing candidate profiles for briefing the team of prospective candidates
– Preparing, generating and tracking freelancer contract agreements

Requirements:
– Excellent organizational skills
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Translation experience is a plus
– Attention to detail, strict deadlines and ability to work efficiently
– Proficiency with various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
– Fluency in English essential, German is a plus
– Good negotiation skills
