DeNA Studios is an exciting and new game development company in Vancouver, B.C. We are focused on creating new games for smartphones that will operate as part of our proprietary Mobage social gaming network. Our Mountain View, California, office has created Tap Fish, a No.1 Top Grossing title on both iOS and Android, as well as Tap Ranch and Wonder Cove. Numerous new titles are lined up for both this and the coming year. Position: Flash Effects Artist – Freelance position
DeNA Studios is looking for a highly talented professional to create spectacular flash effect animations for an exciting new mobile game that will be deployed on both iOS and Android platforms. The Flash Artist will work with and report to the Lead Artist and Art Supervisor. The lead artist will provide quality control and scheduling mastery to determine the visual success of the assigned mobile project. This is a contractual freelance position aligned in conjunction with the needs of the assigned project and there are 16 effects animations that need to be created.
Responsibilities
• The Flash Artist will be working directly with the Lead Artist, Art Supervisor and Product Manager in a freelance capacity.
• The Flash Artist should also be able to work with Mock-Ups and Concepts and then create spectacular effects animations in Flash CS5 .
• The Flash Artist should also be able to communicate extremely well and iterate quickly.
Requirements
• Keen eye for quality artwork and Good eye for attention to detail
• Top notch with quality control
• Working knowledge of Flash, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Superior Flash Effects Animation skills
• Ability to develop smooth working relationships with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Energetic mindset to tackle challenges in the rapidly changing business environment
• Experience w/ social gaming & mobile platforms a big plus.
