Web/UI Designer
Virtual Role with bi-weekly on-site meetings in Philadelphia, PA and occasional regional meetings.
Description:
Our client is looking for a highly creative Web/UI designer with several years’ experience working on Web-based projects. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing new websites and landing pages, as well as working to continuously improve existing sites for our client. This position will collaborate with a variety of multi-disciplined cross-functional teams/organizations throughout the organization (including IT, marketing, operations and outside partners).
Responsibilities include:
Creating high quality designs, graphics, mock ups and layouts for both new and existing Web applications
Work directly with IT to Build and implement these designs
Help create wireframes and intuitive user flows for analysis and review
Create intuitive interfaces & interaction layer using best practices, the latest Web trends, and all available tools to augment the user experience
Maintain, improve, and update several existing websites and applications
Requirements:
BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia Design or related field
5 to 7 years’ experience in Web design and development, ecommerce experience preferred
Experienced in Photoshop, XHTML, Dreamweaver, CSS, jquery, Visual Studio experience a plus
Strong knowledge of Web and design principles
Strong conceptual development, wire framing, layout and illustration skill
Ability to translate end user needs into well-designed web-based workflows
Ability to design for complex/database driven website
Ability to work in a team environment to develop and implement design
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
