Plow & Hearth is searching for a freelance copywriter for full-time contract work
from June 1-December 31. This position has the potential to become a full-time permanent position.

The Plow & Hearth family of brands is looking for a qualified copywriter like you to join our team full-time from June 1-December 31, 2012.
Here’s what you’d be doing:
• Write, proof, and edit copy for catalog titles, internet, advertisements, retail collateral and special projects
• Write, proof, and edit letters, instructions, product information insert cards and other writing needs of the company as assigned
• Research product attributes and trademark registration
• Maintain a current database of all catalog copy
• Utilize and maintain the catalog Copy/Image Library
• Adhere to all copy standards
• Assist artists and designers with simple production when necessary
Ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Strong background in writing and proofreading
• Knowledge of SEO
• Proficient in InDesign, FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Word and
Excel
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong organizational skills
• Manage time/multiple deadlines independently & under pressure
• Accuracy and attention to detail is an absolute must
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Team player
